Gives the President-President-General of Ogoni Youths One Week to Intervene
Yesterday 21st August, 2022, the President-General of Ogoni Youth Federation, Comrade Legborsi Yamaabana played host to the Ogoni Association of Persons Living with Disabilities.
It was heart broken as they passionately narrated how they are discriminated and cut of from the scheme of things in the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) and the authorities of the four local government councils in Ogoni.
They intimated the Ogoni Youth boss of their plans to carry out peaceful protest at the entrance of HYPREP office and sites as well as the local government headquarters to draw attention to their plights.
They however appealed to him to within one week use his office to reached out to the leadership of HYPREP, Federal Ministry of Environment and that of the local government areas in Ogoni on their behalf with a view to resolving the aforesaid issues in the collective interest of all stakeholders.
On his boss, the Ogoni Youth President promised to amplify their concerns and revert back to them. While calling on Nigerians to be kind and compassionate to the physically challenged in persons, Yamaabana also admonished those that are not disable to know that disability is neither a curse nor death sentence and any person could become disabled due to accident or sickness#
